Terms of Service

Last updated · April 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Staso AI platform, including the website at staso.ai, dashboard, APIs, and SDKs (collectively, the "Service"), provided by Staso AI Inc. ("Staso," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Description of Service

Staso provides an observability, monitoring, and runtime enforcement platform for AI agents. The Service includes:

  • Agent execution tracing and monitoring dashboards
  • Runtime firewall for validating agent actions before execution
  • Evaluation tools for assessing agent quality and detecting failures
  • SDKs for integrating with AI frameworks (Anthropic, OpenAI, and others)
  • Team management with organizations, workspaces, roles, and permissions

Features marked as "Coming Soon" on our website are not yet available and are subject to change.

4. Plans and Pricing

4.1 Free Tier

The Personal plan is free and includes up to 10,000 traces per month, 7 days of data retention, up to 3 team members, and 3 workspaces. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits with reasonable notice.

4.2 Paid Plans

Paid plans (Team and above) are subject to pricing published on our website. Pricing, plan features, and usage limits may change. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before changes affect your current billing cycle.

4.3 Usage Limits

If you exceed the trace or resource limits of your plan, we may throttle ingestion, disable certain features, or contact you to discuss an upgrade. We will not delete data already ingested within your retention window without notice.

5. Your Data

5.1 Ownership

You retain all rights to the data you send to the Service through our SDKs and APIs ("Your Data"). We do not claim ownership of Your Data.

5.2 License

You grant us a limited license to process, store, and display Your Data solely to provide the Service. This license ends when you delete Your Data or close your account.

5.3 Data Usage Restrictions

We will not use Your Data to train machine learning models, sell to third parties, or use for purposes outside of providing the Service to you. Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics (e.g., total trace volumes, error rates) may be used to improve the platform.

5.4 PII Redaction

Our SDK and ingestion pipeline automatically redact personally identifiable information from trace data before storage. While we make commercially reasonable efforts to detect PII, you are responsible for ensuring that sensitive data is handled appropriately in your applications before transmission to our Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful data through the Service
  • Access accounts, data, or systems that you are not authorized to access
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written permission
  • Use the Service to monitor or collect data from individuals without proper consent

7. API Keys and SDK Usage

You are responsible for securing your API keys. Do not expose keys in client-side code, public repositories, or logs. We may revoke API keys that we believe have been compromised or are being misused. Rate limits apply to API and SDK usage; current limits are documented in our developer documentation.

8. Availability and Support

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control. We provide support via [email protected]. Priority support is available on paid plans.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, documentation, and branding, is owned by Staso AI Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets. Our open-source SDKs are licensed under their respective open-source licenses.

10. Third-Party Integrations

The Service integrates with third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, and others) and tools (GitHub, Slack). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services. Your use of third-party integrations is subject to their respective terms.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the dashboard and APIs will be revoked immediately
  • Trace data will be deleted according to your plan's retention policy
  • Account data will be deleted within 30 days, unless retention is required by law
  • You may request an export of your data before account closure

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will detect all agent failures, block all harmful actions, or be error-free.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Staso AI Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Staso AI Inc., its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through the Service or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
